This program is designed for instructors who teach programs related to art, including ceramics, painting, and other medias, and technology instructors who run traditional metal and woodworking shops.

 

Topics for discussion include:

  • Chemical hazards associated with different medias including ceramics, painting, dark room activities, and handling flammable liquids
  • Choosing safe and legal products for different age groups
  • Product labeling systems and safety data sheets
  • Control measures for machinery in dark rooms and ceramic kilns
  • Hazardous chemical waste management
