Participants in this one half day course will learn how to use and inspect all types of rigging equipment including ropes, hooks, chains and slings, as well as learn about basic hoisting safety. There will be discussion of sling ratings and calculations, and the forces involved in materials handling.

This program is appropriate for maintenance mechanics and other employees responsible for using rigging and other materials handing equipment.
