This one half day program is designed to provide training to public employers on the requirements of the law, how to conduct workplace risk evaluations, how to complete a policy and what training requirements exist. Each participant will receive a model policy that can be completed in order to bring them into compliance.

Note: NYS Labor law Section 27-b requires public employers to perform a workplace evaluation or risk evaluation at each worksite and to develop and implement programs to prevent and minimize workplace violence caused by assaults and homicides. The Law is designed to ensure that the risk of workplace assaults and homicides are regularly evaluated by public employers and that workplace violence protection programs are implemented to prevent and minimize the hazard to public employees. If you don’t have a plan or your plan hasn’t been reviewed recently, or you have not been providing the annual training, you should attend this session.
